On KitchenAid KUWR undercounter wine cellars, such as the KUWR214KSB, KUWR314KSS and KUWR304ESS, Over Temp is an audible and visual alert that a zone has run warm. It can trigger when either zone rises above its preset range for 10 minutes, or when the cellar stays above 70°F (21°C) for 4 hours or longer. The light flashes until Reset Alarm is pressed, and the alert reactivates every 4 hours while the cellar is still over range.
1. Close the door fully and check that no bottle blocks the seal. 2. Press Reset Alarm to stop the flashing light. 3. Keep the cellar away from heat and avoid opening it. 4. Allow several hours for the zones to cool. 5. If the alert returns, move valuable bottles somewhere cool and call us.
A zone rose above its preset range, or the cellar was above 70°F (21°C) for 4 hours or longer. The light flashes until you press Reset Alarm.
After Reset Alarm is pressed, the alert reactivates every 4 hours while the cellar is still over range. A repeat means the temperature has not come back.
If the alert keeps returning, move valuable bottles to a cool place. Then call us and we will check why the cellar is running warm.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
