KitchenAid KUWR304E Wine Cellar Fix

The KUWR304E is a 24-inch stainless steel wine cellar with metal front racks, also sold as the KUWR304EBS and KUWR304ESS. It is usually installed under a counter in a dining room, a bar or a kitchen peninsula, with a solid stainless front instead of glass.
With a solid front, light is no concern, so we spend our time on the cooling path. We vacuum the condenser, confirm the fans spin, check the gasket for hardness and test the thermostat against a thermometer in the cabinet. Rack clips are tightened last.
Price quoted in writing before we start, and a 30-day workmanship warranty follows. A thermometer test after the repair confirms the cabinet holds its set temperature through at least one full cooling cycle before we call the job done.
The dial sets a target, not a measurement. A weak fan, dusty coil or leaky gasket can keep the cabinet above target. We measure the real temperature and trace the cause.
Not by itself. The front grille is what matters for heat. Keep it clear and avoid putting the cabinet next to a heat source. A thermometer reading is how we judge every repair.
Look for cracking, a flattened section or gaps when the door is closed. Placing a slip of paper in the door should give a slight drag all around.
