KitchenAid KERS202B Board Service

The KERS202B, also sold as the KERS202BSS, is a discontinued KitchenAid range with electronic controls, so most service calls begin with the board. One oven function stops while everything else carries on, or the display goes blank.
We measure output at the board and test the touch panel before ordering a part. If a convection cavity is fitted, we spin the fan and check the motor. When the whole oven is dead after a clean cycle, the thermal fuse gets tested. Two revision codes are known for this range, and we match the board to the one on your rating plate. Before ordering a board, we also check that its connectors are fully seated, since a loose plug can imitate a failed part.
We give the price in writing first, and our repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A broil relay or the broil element has failed. We test both, since the board is not always to blame, and replace only the part that fails its test.
The panel, its connection or the board has lost power. We trace the supply to the panel with a meter before replacing anything, because a loose connector can look like a dead display.
Not immediately, but a failing bearing can seize and stop the fan. We suggest service before it fails, because uneven airflow also affects how the oven bakes.
