The KFGC500H, also sold as the KFGC500HSS, is a 30-inch commercial gas range. Both the burners and the oven run on gas, so every ignition step in this range depends on a working igniter and a clean burner.
When the oven lights slowly, we measure the igniter’s current, because an igniter can glow and still be too weak to open the valve. When a burner clicks without catching, we clean the igniter and reseat the cap. A gas smell means getting out and calling the gas utility from outside, so please do that before anything else. Because both burners and oven run on gas, we also look at the flame color at each burner. A steady blue flame is what we want to see before we leave.
