On KitchenAid freestanding and slide-in ranges, such as the KFEG500ESS, KFGG500ESS or KSEG700ESS, F1 E0 points to the oven control, or the wiring connected to it. You will see F1 and E0 shown together on the display, and the oven may stop its cycle. It belongs to the F1 group, whose second part tells our technicians which reading to check first.
1. Press Cancel and note the full F1 E0 reading. 2. Shut off the range at its breaker for a full minute. 3. Restore power, set the clock, and start a short bake. 4. If the range is gas and you smell gas at any point, leave and call the gas utility from outside. 5. If F1 E0 returns, stop using the oven and call us.
The F1 group points to the oven control system, and the second part is a sub-code we note when diagnosing. Please read us the full F1 E0 display when you call.
A power disturbance can leave a one-time code that clears after a reset. If F1 E0 returns on its own, treat it as a control or wiring problem and avoid heavy use of the oven.
We read the code, check the wiring and test the control, then explain what we found and give a written price before any work. Repairs are covered by a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
