On KitchenAid undercounter double-drawer freezers such as the KUDF204KSB and KUDF204KPA, the Over Temperature feature alerts you when the freezer drawer stays above 6 degrees F (-14 degrees C) for four hours or longer. On refrigerator drawer models the limit is 45 degrees F (7 degrees C). The alarm sounds and an indicator flashes until Reset Alarm is pressed. Frozen food in the drawer starts to warm up.
1. Push the drawer closed and check that nothing blocks the seal. 2. Press Reset Alarm to silence it. 3. Keep the drawer shut and avoid adding warm food. 4. Clean the grille at the front of the unit and keep airflow clear. 5. If the alarm returns after four hours, check food safety and call us.
When the freezer drawer is above 6 degrees F (-14 degrees C) for four hours or longer. The audio stops once the temperature is normal again.
The alarm reactivates every four hours while the drawer is still too warm. Pressing Reset Alarm silences it, but it will return if the cause remains.
