On KitchenAid freestanding and slide-in ranges such as the KFGG500ESS or KSGG700ESS, F8 E0 means there may be a problem with an airflow restriction, the oven cooling fan, or the associated wiring. The oven needs steady airflow to shed heat. When air is blocked or the fan is struggling, the display flashes the code and the oven may shut down early.
1. Press Cancel and let the oven cool completely. 2. Pull cookware, foil or pans away from vents and clear the space around the range. 3. Turn the breaker off for a minute, then on. 4. If F8 E0 returns, call us. Gas smell means leaving the house and calling the utility.
Anything that keeps air from moving through the range, such as blocked vents or a fan that is not turning. A technician looks at the vents, the fan and its wiring.
F8 E2 names only the oven cooling fan and its wiring. F8 E0 adds airflow restriction to that list, so clear vents and open space around the range are worth checking first.
Clear vents help, and a reset may remove the display. If F8 E0 comes back, the fan or wiring may be the cause and needs testing by a technician.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
