KitchenAid KERA205P Fan Repair

The KERA205P, also sold as the KERA205PBL and KERA205PSS, is a discontinued KitchenAid range. By now its service calls are about small mechanical and electrical parts: the oven light that stays dark, a fan that hums on and on, a drawer that drags.
A new bulb does not always fix the lamp. We check the holder and the door light switch for corrosion or heat damage. We test the cooling fan and its control, then the drawer runners and the glass retainers on the door. These are low-cost wear items that make the range pleasant to use again, and fixing them early avoids bigger damage.
We quote in writing before beginning, and our repair is covered by a 30-day workmanship warranty.
It might be, but if a fresh bulb does not light, the socket or switch is likely worn. We test voltage at the socket and replace the failed part.
The fan removes heat until the range cools. If it never stops, a sensor or control may be stuck telling it to run, and we test them. If it hums without turning, the motor or its bearing may be failing and needs replacement.
Usually yes. Runner parts cost little compared with replacing the whole range, and we can often fix a sticking drawer in the same visit as the lamp or fan work.
