KitchenAid KERC601H Fuse Repair

The KERC601H, also sold as the KERC601HBL and KERC601HWH, is an older KitchenAid range with touch controls. When owners call, the display is usually fading, the oven is not heating after a clean cycle or a lamp has gone dark.
We test the panel and its connection to the board first. If the oven has no power after self-clean, the thermal fuse comes next. A convection fan that rattles or does not spin needs the blade and motor checked. Last, we look at the lamp holder and switch. Most of these repairs use small, specific parts, so we confirm the exact version before ordering.
You get a written price before work begins, and our repairs carry a 30-day workmanship warranty.
The lamp circuit is separate from the heating circuit. A failed bulb, holder or door-light switch is the likely cause, and we test each one in turn instead of assuming it is the bulb.
You can wipe around the cover once the oven is cold and unplugged, but motor and bearing issues need a technician. Removing the cover wrongly can bend the blade, so we handle that part ourselves.
Heat built up inside the range, perhaps because the cooling fan or vents were not clearing air. We replace the fuse and then check the fan and airflow to be sure it will not open again.
