KitchenAid KFDS936SAG Air Fry Range

The KFDS936SAG is a 36-inch commercial style dual fuel range with six burners and a no preheat air fry mode. That mode runs on the oven side, which is electric, so a complaint about air fry results leads us to the oven control, the elements and the sensor.
On top, six gas burners get the usual igniter and cap checks. If the touch control does not respond, we look at the connection first. Any gas smell means leaving the house and calling the gas utility from outside. A written price comes before we begin, and our 30-day workmanship warranty covers the repair.
The six burners are cleaned and tested during the same visit, so one call can settle both the cooktop and the oven side.
We check how evenly the oven heats, starting with the element and the sensor. A weak element or a drifting sensor changes the temperature the mode relies on.
No. The cooktop uses gas, but the oven is electric, so the mode runs on the oven's electric heat. We meter the element when the results are poor.
If there is no gas smell, other burners are fine to use. Clicking usually means moisture or grease at the igniter. We clean and test it, and replace the igniter if the spark is weak.
