KitchenAid KGRT507G Freestanding Gas Range Repair

The KGRT507G is a freestanding gas range with a thermal convection oven, also sold as KGRT507GAL, KGRT507GBL, KGRT507GBS, KGRT507GBT and KGRT507GWH. The convection fan makes it a more involved oven than a basic range, and as the years add up, the fan, the board and the display all take their turn.
We listen to the fan during a test bake. Scraping or a high whine tells us whether the blade or the motor needs work. A control board relay can fail on its own, taking out just one oven function, and a display that fades is often a panel contact. After a self-clean, an oven that will not power up points toward the thermal fuse. A gas smell comes first: leave the house and call the gas utility from outside, and only then call us. Your written price comes first, and a 30-day warranty follows.
It uses a fan to move heated air, so there is one more motor to wear. When baking is uneven, we test the fan as well as the igniter and sensor.
The AL, BL, BS, BT and WH versions all share the base KGRT507G, so the igniter, fan, board and fuse are interchangeable between them. Trim differs by color, and we confirm the rating plate before ordering.
It can be. The panel or its connection may be failing, and the oven functions run through the same board. We test before the display goes out entirely.
