What F1 E2 means

On KitchenAid freestanding and slide-in ranges, among them the KFEG500ESS and KSGG700ESS, F1 E2 is another oven control code. It points to the control, or to the wiring that connects it. The display shows F1 E2 in place of the time of day, and the oven may stop mid-cycle. We log it alongside its neighbors in the F1 group, yet each reading is recorded separately.
