On KitchenAid freestanding and slide-in ranges including the KFEG500ESS and KSGG700ESS, Sabbath Mode sets the oven to remain on in a bake setting until it is turned off. When Sabbath Mode is set, only the Bake cycle operates, and the other cooking and cleaning cycles do not. It is a setting you chose, not an error, so nothing needs repair when you see it.
1. Check the display for Sabbath Mode. 2. Turn the oven off to end the bake that stays on. 3. Follow your control's instructions to leave the mode. 4. If other cycles still do not run once the mode is off, call us and we will check the control.
In Sabbath Mode only the Bake cycle operates. Other cooking and cleaning cycles do not, which is part of how the mode is meant to work.
The mode keeps the oven on in a bake setting until you turn it off, so turn the oven off yourself when you are done, even if the food is finished long before.
Follow your control's steps to leave the mode. If you cannot, or other cycles still will not run, call us and we can help you with the range controls.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
