On KitchenAid over-the-range microwave hood combinations such as the KMHS120ESS or KMLS311HSS, F2H1 refers to the vent fan and light switch, found on the lower left front side panel, or the wiring to it. When that switch is not reading properly, the fan and light controls can stop responding, and the code may be shown.
1. Press the fan and light controls and see if they respond. 2. Clean the area around the switch on the lower left front side with a dry cloth. 3. Cut power for a minute and switch it back on. 4. Check that the fan and light work normally afterward. If F2H1 returns, call us.
On many of these models it is on the lower left front side panel. If you cannot locate it, send us your model number.
Often yes, as the switch concerns the fan and light. We still advise checking soon.
Both mention the same switch and wiring. The final digit differentiates the check, and the steps are the same.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
