On older KitchenAid KHWS front-load washers (about 2005 to 2008) and Pro Line KHWV washers, such as the KHWS01PWH, KHWS02RMT and KHWV01RSS, FH means a water inlet problem: there is no water or an insufficient water supply. Owners see the cycle stop early with little or no water in the drum. The recommended response is to press PAUSE/OFF (PAUSE/CANCEL) twice, unplug the washer, and check the water supply.
1. Press PAUSE/OFF (PAUSE/CANCEL) twice and unplug the washer. 2. Check that both water faucets are fully on. 3. Look at the inlet screens and the fill hoses for blockage, kinks or freezing. 4. Reconnect the hoses and restart the washer. 5. If FH remains, call us.
FH is the Water Inlet Problem code, meaning no water or an insufficient water supply reached the washer. It appears on KHWS and Pro Line KHWV models.
Press PAUSE/OFF twice, unplug, then check that faucets are fully on, the inlet screens are clear, and the hoses are not kinked or frozen. Reconnect and restart.
If FH comes back after the supply is confirmed and the hoses are clear, call us. The inlet needs inspection, and we will give a written price before any work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
