KitchenAid KDFS324S Dishwasher Repair

The KDFS324S is newer than most of the dishwashers we service, so problems are usually early ones: a door that does not register as closed, a noise that was not there last month, or a first sign of damp at the bottom of the door. The KDFS324SPS number on some plates is the same dishwasher.
A new machine still gets the same checks as an old one. We listen to the wash motor, test the latch and its switch with the door closed, and run a cycle watching the door seal for seepage. If dishes are clean but cold and wet, we measure the heating element. Because the machine is current, we also check that the installation, supply and drain hose are set up correctly, since many early problems trace back to the install. We quote in writing before starting.
Make sure the door latches fully and nothing blocks it. If it still will not start, the latch switch may not be registering. We test the switch and the control response.
Some noise is normal, but a rising whine or grinding suggests the wash motor bearing. We listen with the machine running and tell you what we hear before replacing anything.
Yes. A kinked or poorly looped hose leads to slow draining and odor. We inspect the routing and connection as part of every visit. Install problems often cause early failures on newer machines.
