PF, and the longer forms PF id=27 and PF id=30 that some controls print, appear on KitchenAid wall ovens and ranges when there has been a power failure. All three carry the same meaning: the oven lost power at some point and is telling you so. Pressing Cancel clears the display, and on some models you then need to set the time of day again.
1. Press Cancel to clear the display. 2. Reset the time of day if your model asks for it. 3. Check whether other appliances also lost power, which points to a household outage. 4. Restart any cooking you wanted. 5. If PF returns without a power interruption, check the breaker and call us.
They are suffixes printed on some controls. They carry the same meaning as PF alone: there has been a power failure and the oven is reporting it.
On some models you do. Press Cancel to clear the display, then set the time of day if the oven asks. Others keep the time and need nothing more.
If it keeps appearing and nothing else in your home lost power, call us. We check the oven's supply and control and quote any work in writing first.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
