Wall Oven Repair in Houston

Single and double wall ovens, many with convection, are built into cabinetry at eye level. When yours will not heat, overcooks or shows a code on the display, we test the heat path and controls.

KitchenAid wall ovens are installed in cabinet cutouts as a single unit, a double oven, or a combination oven with a microwave above. Many offer convection fans, steam or self-clean cycles, and touch controls, and all are wired into a dedicated circuit at the back of the cabinet.

These ovens age quietly. Heating elements thin with use, door gaskets stiffen, temperature sensors drift and cooling fans clog with dust, so Houston cooks may notice a longer preheat or a cake that bakes unevenly well before anything stops. The self-clean cycle stresses latches, thermal fuses and control boards in particular.

We start by comparing real cavity temperature with the setting, then check the elements, sensor, fans and door switches. If a code appears on the display, we note it and test the parts it points toward.

05Wall Oven questions
My wall oven locked itself after a self-clean. What now?

A lock that stays engaged after the cycle can mean the oven is still hot or the latch is stuck. Let it cool completely, then try again. If it stays locked, a latch motor or switch likely needs work.

Is it normal for a wall oven to run hotter than the display?

Small differences are common, and a worn sensor can make them bigger. We place a thermometer inside and compare it to the setting, then adjust or replace the sensor if the gap is large.

Can you service a double wall oven?

Yes. The upper and lower cavities have separate elements and often share a control, so we test each cavity on its own and tell you which one has the problem.
