On Wi-Fi connected KitchenAid wall ovens such as the KOCE900HSS, FC E4 means the Wi-Fi antenna, or the associated wiring, may have a problem. The oven can no longer use its antenna as it should. The display shows the code, and app features may stop working. Because it concerns only the wireless link, the oven's cooking functions are a separate matter, and the antenna cannot be checked from outside the oven.
1. Press Cancel to clear the message. 2. Switch the oven breaker off for a minute, then on. 3. Check your router is working with other devices, so the network is ruled out. 4. If FC E4 returns, call us and do not open the oven.
It lets the oven talk to your home network. FC E4 means the Wi-Fi antenna or its wiring may have a problem, so the oven cannot hold a connection.
The code names the oven's antenna and wiring, not the router. A quick check that your other devices are online still helps rule out the network before we visit.
Cooking functions are separate from the Wi-Fi link, so the oven may work normally. Stop using it if other codes appear, and tell us what you see when you call.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
