KitchenAid KOED730S Smart Double Service

The KOED730S is a 30-inch smart electric double oven with assisted cooking modes, also sold as the KOED730SBE and KOED730SPS. It is a full-size double, usually installed in a tall cabinet where the lower oven sits at waist height.
Service starts with a plain question: which cavity, and what does it do wrong? From there we measure the cavity temperature and compare it with the control, since a sensor off by a few degrees makes assisted modes unreliable. Heating parts come next, and a loud fan is traced to a blade or bearing.
On smart models we also watch for screen freezes and dropped connections, which usually come from the display cable or the power supply to the control. The price is written before we order anything, and the 30-day workmanship warranty applies.
We test the bake element and compare the sensor reading with a thermometer. A worn element or a sensor that reads high are the two usual reasons for slow preheating.
A loose display cable or an unstable power supply is common. We reseat the cable, check supply voltage and replace the display or board if the freeze continues.
Repair is usually possible. The modes depend on sensors and the board, both of which can be replaced individually, so we quote only the part that failed.
