A KitchenAid electric wall oven such as the KOSE507ESS or KOCE500ESS can show F5 E0 when the door latch assembly, the door switch, or the associated wiring may have a problem. The oven control cannot confirm the door state. The code takes over the display, and cooking can stop or be refused until the door circuit reads properly again. Because the latch and the switch work as a pair, a technician tests both together with the wiring.
1. Cancel the cycle and shut the oven door completely. 2. Remove anything near the door seal or latch area. 3. Turn the oven breaker off for one minute and back on. 4. If F5 E0 shows again, leave the door alone and call us.
The switch tells the control whether the door is shut. A latch assembly and a door switch work together, so F5 E0 names both along with the wiring that joins them.
A door can look closed and still not register. If the code returns after one reset, the oven may block heating, and we should test the circuit.
We read the code, test the latch and switch circuit, and give you a written quote before repair. Approval from you comes before any parts are ordered.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
