On steam-capable KitchenAid wall ovens, F7 E2 is a steam-system code that is handled with a power reset. After the reset, watch the oven for one minute to make sure the code does not display again, then verify normal operation. It does not apply to every wall oven. Because the oven expects a reset and a short watch, any return of the code afterward is the sign that a technician should test the steam system.
1. Press Cancel to dismiss the code on the display. 2. Switch the oven breaker off for one minute, then back on. 3. Watch the oven for a full minute and confirm that F7 E2 stays away. 4. Run a normal cycle. If the code comes back, call us.
By itself it is handled with a power reset and a one-minute watch. Treat it as minor if it clears and stays clear, and note the time in case it returns.
After the minute of watching, run a normal cycle and confirm that the oven operates and the display stays clear. If steam is available on your model, try a short steam run too.
If F7 E2 appears again after a reset, or comes with other F7 codes, book us and we will test the steam system and quote any repair in writing first.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
