A Wi-Fi connected KitchenAid wall oven such as the KOCE900HSS can show FC E5 when the Wi-Fi antenna, or the wiring connected to it, may have a problem. The oven cannot reach your network the way it should. The display shows the code, and app control may be unavailable. Because the antenna and its wiring are named, the oven's own hardware is the point of the test rather than your home network.
1. Clear the display with Cancel. 2. Reset the oven at the breaker for one minute, then restore power. 3. Confirm your home network works on other devices. 4. If FC E5 returns, call us. Do not open the oven body to look for the antenna.
Both name the Wi-Fi antenna and its wiring, so the diagnosis is alike. We test the same circuit for either code and quote the repair we find in writing.
The code can still show on the display. The oven may cook normally, but the message will keep appearing until the antenna circuit has been repaired.
We test first and quote before replacing any part. If the antenna and wiring test fine, we move on to the module so you pay only for what is needed.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
