On KitchenAid electric single, double and combination wall ovens such as the KOSE500ESS or KODE500ESS, this scrolling message appears when the control spots a problem as you are programming a cook cycle. The display itself gives the instruction, either to press Enter and retry or to disable power so the control clears. Do what it says, then enter the cycle again from the beginning. Normal operation should return afterward.
1. Read the scrolling directions fully. 2. If it says PRESS ENTER TO TRY AGAIN, press Enter and set the cycle again. 3. If it says DISABLE POWER TO CLEAR, switch the oven breaker off for a minute, then on. 4. If the message returns, call us.
Follow the displayed directions. The message scrolls across the display and tells you either to press Enter to try again or to disable power to clear it.
The oven detected a problem during the setup of a cook cycle, so it shows the message to let you retry or clear the control by removing power.
If the message returns after you follow the directions, or appears every time you program a cycle, call us so the control can be tested and quoted in writing.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
