What Feature Not Available means

On KitchenAid electric single, double and combination wall ovens such as the KOSE500ESS or KODE500ESS, this scrolling message appears when the control spots a problem as you are programming a cook cycle. The display itself gives the instruction, either to press Enter and retry or to disable power so the control clears. Do what it says, then enter the cycle again from the beginning. Normal operation should return afterward.

Common causes of Feature Not Available

  • A problem detected while programming a cook cycle
  • Control needing power removed to clear the entry
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Read the scrolling directions fully. 2. If it says PRESS ENTER TO TRY AGAIN, press Enter and set the cycle again. 3. If it says DISABLE POWER TO CLEAR, switch the oven breaker off for a minute, then on. 4. If the message returns, call us.

! Why to stop there
  • A repeating message means a real cause.
  • The oven control is not for owner repair.
  • We quote first in writing, and our repair has a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.

Why does it appear while programming?

The oven detected a problem during the setup of a cook cycle, so it shows the message to let you retry or clear the control by removing power.

When should I call?
