KitchenAid KODE500E 30-Inch Double Wall Oven Service with Probe Testing

Ten cubic feet of total capacity is spread over two cavities in the KODE500E, a 30-inch double electric wall oven with Even-Heat True Convection in both. A temperature probe, a glass-touch display with a control lock and self-cleaning round out the list. It is a current-generation model, sold as KODE500ESS, KODE500EBL, KODE500EBS and KODE500EWH.
With two convection fans and two sensors, a problem in one cavity can hide behind a perfect other one. We bake-test each oven separately, test the fans, and compare the cavity temperature to the setting.
The glass-touch display and the lock are tested after that. You get a written price first, and the repair is warranted for 30 days. Tell us which of the two ovens misbehaves and we will start there, then check the other for comparison.
The numbers KODE500ESS, KODE500EBL, KODE500EBS and KODE500EWH are finish versions of the same oven. Internal parts are shared, and we match trim pieces to your plate.
We test the sensor and the elements in that cavity along with the fan. Uneven results usually trace to one of those, and the lower oven is a useful comparison.
The glass-touch panel may not be registering the press. We test the panel and the board to see if a replacement of the touch surface is needed.
