KitchenAid KODE900H Smart Oven+ Service

The KODE900H is a Smart Oven+ 30-inch double oven with powered attachments, also sold as the KODE900HBS, KODE900HSS and KODE900HSS00. It is built into a wall cabinet, and it brings extra electronics that older double ovens never had.
Because the attachments connect through the oven itself, a call about an attachment not being recognized starts at the connection point and the control board, before we look at heating parts. If the oven bakes poorly instead, we go to the usual suspects: bake and broil elements, the temperature sensors, and the fan that moves air through the cavity.
We test the cavity that is reported first and leave the other alone. The price is written down before parts are ordered, and the work carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Not necessarily. We inspect the connection point in the oven and test the control board's output. If the oven side is healthy, the attachment itself is checked.
No. Each cavity has its own elements and sensor. We test the weak cavity only, measure its true temperature and replace the part that is out of range.
A whir is usually the convection or cooling fan. If it is steady and quiet it is normal. A grinding or rising pitch means a worn bearing, and we replace the fan.
