KitchenAid KODT107E Double Oven Service

The KODT107E is a 27-inch double wall oven with EvenHeat thermal bake and broil, also sold as the KODT107ESS. Thermal means no convection fan: the bake and broil elements do all of the heating in each cavity.
That keeps the checklist short. When a cavity will not heat, we look at the element for a break or blistering, then test the sensor and the wiring to that cavity. When the oven heats but results are uneven, we compare the cavity temperature to the set point and check the door hinges for wear. The 27-inch width often means a cutout from an older kitchen, which makes repair a better choice than reworking cabinetry.
A written price comes before any part is ordered, and a 30-day workmanship warranty covers the repair.
Usually the lower bake element or its wiring. The oven has no convection fan, so there are fewer parts to check. We test the element, then the sensor, and replace what reads open.
Yes. Without a fan, heat comes from the elements alone, so food can brown unevenly. If it is much worse than before, an element or sensor is probably wearing out.
Worn hinges let the door sit slightly open at the top edge, so heat escapes. We measure the gap and replace the hinge parts so the door closes evenly.
