On KitchenAid KUDR undercounter double-drawer refrigerators, such as the KUDR204KSB, Cool Off lights up on the display when Showroom Mode has been turned on unintentionally. The controls appear to work normally, but the drawers are not cooling. Owners find warm contents and a display that still responds. You exit the mode by holding COOL ON and SABBATH together for 3 seconds. It is a mode indicator rather than a failure.
1. Read the display for the words Cool Off. 2. Press and hold COOL ON and SABBATH together for 3 seconds. 3. Check that Cool Off clears. 4. Listen for the unit to begin cooling and let it run for several hours. 5. If the words stay on or the drawers stay warm afterward, call us.
Showroom Mode is on, and Cool Off lights up on the display while the controls still appear to work. In that mode the unit does not cool.
Hold COOL ON and SABBATH together for 3 seconds. The words should clear and cooling begins. Give the drawers several hours to get cold again.
If Cool Off is gone and the drawers still do not get cold after several hours, the problem is no longer the mode. Call us and we will inspect the unit with a written price first.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
