On KitchenAid KRQC quad-door French door refrigerators, such as the KRQC736RPS, DEMO lights up on the display when demo mode is on. Demo mode, found on some models, is used on a retail floor, or to turn cooling off and deactivate all functions except interior lighting. The control panel will not respond to most commands. Owners see warm contents and an unresponsive panel. To exit, hold SOUND and LOCK together until the indicator goes off.
1. Read the display for DEMO. 2. Press and hold SOUND and LOCK together. 3. Keep holding until the DEMO indicator goes off. 4. Allow several hours for the refrigerator to cool. 5. If DEMO stays or the cabinet stays warm, call us.
Demo mode is on. It turns cooling off and deactivates every function except the interior lighting, and the control panel will not respond to most commands.
Hold SOUND and LOCK together until the indicator goes off. Once it clears, the panel responds again and the refrigerator can begin cooling. Do not release the buttons early, or the indicator stays lit.
With demo mode active, cooling is off. Exit the mode, move perishables to another refrigerator meanwhile, and allow several hours. If it stays warm after the mode is off, call us.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
